Toeing the line of radical outfits, which have been openly expressing their desire to kill French President Emanuel Macron alleging blasphemy by the politician, Member of Parliament Leakot Hossain Khoka said he is ready to kill French President Emmanuel Macron, who, according to the politician, has insulted the Prophet Muhammad.
In a video that became viral on social media, he also said he’s ready to embrace death but not before killing the French President.
His comment came at a time when tension is rising between the Muslim world and France over caricatures of the Prophet.
The lawmaker spoke his mind on Monday night while speaking during a discussion on the life and work of the late Shah Ahmad Shafi of Hefazat-e-Islam in Narayanganj.
In the 13-minute video, which was believed to have been uploaded the next day by the MP himself, he was heard saying, “I am speaking not as a member of Parliament but as a Muslim. I want to tell this to the president of France — if you were in front of me today, I would have killed you and walked to the gallows with a smile on my face.”
